TAIPAYE: A Trip to Taipei, Taiwan

cover.jpg

Our trip to Taipei, Taiwan was scheduled on a rainy season. And unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit most of the tourist spots here. But despite the prevailing circumstances, our 4-day trip was filled with fun. After all, it was my first time to travel. It was tiring tho since we had to do a lot of walking so a few tips if you are planning to visit this place soon:

  1. Plan ahead. List down the tourist spots you want to visit. There will be private cars you can avail to take you to these tourist spots or you can ride public transportation.
  2. Wear comfortable clothes. There will be a lot of walking when going places. Might as well wear something comfy and if you have a thing for fashion, plan your OOTDs ahead too. Taipei fashion is greatly influenced by Western culture so why not step it up a little bit!
  3. Night Markets. Save up for your shopping spree and food trips. Night markets are everywhere.
  4. Have fun!

And here are the highlights of my trip! Enjoy!

Maokong Gondola

Maokong Gondola has four stations: Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station and Maokong Station. It extends over 4 kilometers and it takes at least half an hour to reach the top.

Train stations here are not that different from the Philippines because of the volume of people taking public transportation, except some are air-conditioned, they have wifi available and are more high tech. Single ride tickets look like casino tokens. How cool is that?!

Street foods are literally everywhere! FEAST!

Instagram worthy stuffs. Keep an eye on them.

And night markets are up until midnight. WIFI is definitely available. But there are only some places where the connection is good. Btw, this particular place is Ximenting.

Take advantage of FREE TASTES. They are insanely delicious. And pricey!

MILK TEA: LEGIT AF.

Lungshan Temple of Manka. This is a must visit temple in Taiwan because it is one of largest and oldest temples here and the most well known too.

Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall. Just enjoy watching the guard change. If you plan to take a video of the whole ceremony, it will last for more than 15 minutes. I can’t hold my phone up for that long.

Because DOGS.

1 LITER YAKULT. Yes, 1 is enough here.

Streets of Taipei. I am so amazed by how clean the streets are. And smoke-free too. Taipei is a very busy place. Motorcycles are everywhere.

And bicycles too.

Baopiliao Historical Block. You don’t want to miss a photo op because BRICKWALL will always be a thing.

STREET ART. Sadly I wasn’t able to make sticker designs. I was in the midst of creative block. But they are perfect for your selfie background.

And finally, OOTDs. #relationshipgoals. Group selfie. Shoe selfie. And all the silly poses of your gang!

There are a lot more to see! Travel while you can!
